What's changing
Highlights of the proposed changes compared to the current by-laws (adopted October 1, 2026). This summary is provided for convenience — the full proposed document below is authoritative.
- Standing committees: the Special Events Committee becomes the Meeting Events Committee, the Fundraising Committee becomes the Fundraising Events and Shows Committee, the Advertising Committee is removed, and a new Education & Outreach Committee is added. The Apiary Committee is unchanged.
- Budget timing: the annual budget is presented for approval at the December meeting (was January) and covers the fiscal year beginning the following January 1.
- Adoption clause: updated to reflect the December 3, 2026 adoption vote.
