2025 Beginner Beekeeping School

Our goal for the class is to teach you about honey bee biology, their importance to the environment and the food supply, how you can help honey bees and last but not least, how you can start keeping honey bees in your own back yard.

When: March 15th from 8 am to 5 pm with a lunch break in the middle. After the classroom session, we will do three hands-on days in our club apiary where you will get the opportunity to learn to light a smoker and do an inspection of a live hive.

Where: Wilson County Agricultural Center located at 1806 Goldsboro St S SW, Wilson, NC 27893

Cost: $75 per person ages 16 and up. This includes the book, membership to the club for 2025, as well as lunch. Children 15 and under pay $15 with a paying adult. Only one Book will be issued per paying adult.
Deadline to Cancel is March 1, 2025. You will be refunded $45 ( book is nonrefundable $30).
