2020 Apiary – June 13th

Last time we were out at the apiary we treated for mites so we had to skip this past weekend because of that, but now it is time again to head out there and to continue the mite treatment that we started and inspect some of the hives.

With the weather being what it is, we may have to dodge a little bit of rain but our best chance looks to be Saturday the 13th at 8:00am.

I know everybody can’t come on Saturdays and vice versa for Sundays so if the weather cooperates we will see about doing the next visit on a Sunday.

Same rules as last time, we do everything we can to keep people safe and if you have a mask we encourage people to wear them.

We encourage you to wear whatever protective equipment you need to make you feel comfortable, nobody is going to shame anyone for wearing protection.

You should have at least have a veil to cover your head, getting stung in the face is not much fun..

If you just got bees or are getting ready to get bees, make sure you come out and visit with us at the apiary, there is no better way to learn to work bees than to do it in a group and on someone else’s bees.
